Joshua has been involved in the following fund management, investment advisory, fund-related work to date:

  • Raising Voices Staff Provident Fund (AuM ≈ UGX480 million) – Investment advisory.
  • Centenary Bank Pension Fund (AuM ≈ UGX75 billion) – Statutory audit;
  • Stanbic Bank Staff Pension Fund (AuM ≈ UGX54 billion) – Statutory audit; and
  • Century Bottling Staff Savings Scheme (AuM ≈ UGX4 billion) – Statutory audit.
  • NSSF – implemented the Integrated Management Information System that enabled NSSF to re- register over 200,000 of its members and fully network most of its field operations

Joshua, who is a seasoned and heavily qualified accountant, has over eighteen (18) years’ post-qualification experience drawn from a good mix of international and national postings, including; CFO – AOL Uganda, Chief Accountant UBL, CFO – NSSF, Assistant Commissioner, Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, and Development (MOFEPD), Finance Director, Makerere University and now as CFO Uganda Electricity Generation Company. He has experience in Audit Business Advisory at PwC.

Joshua founded MM Bekar CPA in 2003 through which, over the years, he serviced a myriad of clients in the public and private sectors. During this time Joshua gained significant auditing, accounting, and consulting experience. A natural born leader, Joshua has diligently led scores and scores of audit and financial advisory assignments as the Partner-in-Charge at MM Bekar. Joshua withdrew from MM Bekar and joined J. Samuel Richards & Associates in 2013 as a Partner/Director in charge of Audit/Assurance and the Public Sector. He is a member of ICPAU.
